GPM - Grão-Pará Maranhão - is a privately-held corporation having signed a TUP adhesion contract published in DOU at the end of 2018 and authorization contract #6 for the EF-317 railroad at the end of 2021, both with the Union.
Grão-Pará Maranhão partners have more than 30 years of global operations in Ports and Railways with more than 170 engineering consultants.
Its main undertaking is the Alcântara Port Terminal (TPA), a deepwater port located on Ilha do Cajual in the municipality of Alcântara, Maranhão, the Maranhão Railway (EF-317), of approximately 520 km that will connect the Alcântara Port Terminal to Açailândia- MA, allowing access to grain cargo from the Center-West regions via the North-South Railroad (FNS) and and the Hub Green-Energy (H2A), designed to produce Green Ammonia and Hydrogen for the internal and external markets.
The Alcântara Port Terminal, the Maranhão Railway and the Hub Green-Energy could revolutionize national logistics and bring significant development to the State of Maranhão, with forecasts of an increase in the State's GDP of around 20%, creating 100,000 direct and indirect jobs permanently.
