José Reinaldo Tavares: Driving Maranhão’s Development!
José Reinaldo Tavares, the State Government’s Secretary for Economic Development and Strategic Programs, had a productive agenda in Brasilia this week, focused on making projects viable that are essential for Maranhão’s growth.
At the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development, José Reinaldo presented an innovative project to export Maranhão fruit to Europe. He also discussed the creation of a Technology Center for the export of certified fruit, honey, fish and shrimp, strengthening our international presence.
Also noteworthy was the Baixada Maranhense Development Plan, which promises to boost our communities. And we can’t forget the ambitious project for the Alcântara Port Terminal (TPA) and the EF-317 Railway, with support from the World Bank and private financing, which will revolutionize logistics and reduce costs for our producers.
The meeting with the Minister of Transport, Renan Calheiros Filho, brought enthusiasm. José Reinaldo presented the rail logistics project that will connect the TPA to the North-South Railway, opening up new opportunities for Maranhão’s agribusiness.
We are facing a historic moment for Maranhão, with José Reinaldo Tavares leading initiatives that will shape a prosperous and efficient future for our state and for Brazil’s Northern Arc.
